It takes about 6 hours to travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang. If you take a bus, choose a sleeper bus departing from My Dinh Bus Station. Ticket prices range from 250,000 to 350,000 VND per trip.

If you're traveling by private vehicle, you can go by car or motorbike. Riding a motorbike to Ha Giang will take a lot of time, but once in Ha Giang, it will be more convenient for getting around. The route to Ha Giang by motorbike is quite long, requiring continuous riding for many hours. To ensure safety, it's advisable to go by car or bus to Ha Giang and then rent a motorbike from Ha Giang Tour.

Starting from Ha Giang City, follow National Highway 4C for about 40 km until you reach Quan Ba Town. If you have time, stop briefly at Quan Ba Heaven Gate to admire the expansive valley with rice fields at the foot of Co Tien Mountain.

Then, continue your journey and take a short rest to refuel at the Quan Ba gas station. From here, turn towards Nam Dam village and continue about 2 km to reach Can Ty Bridge. Go straight a little further, and you’ll arrive at Trang Kim Commune, then turn right to cross the bridge and turn left to continue for about 100 meters.

At the three-way junction with signs showing Yen Minh 41KM and Yen Minh 22.6KM, confidently choose the 22.6km route, as this is the shortcut from Quan Ba to Yen Minh leading to the Lonely Tree. From the turn, travel about 1.7km to reach your destination. If you choose the 41km route, you will head into the Yen Minh pine forest, but there’s no Lonely Tree there!
